Thompson, USA Win Gold

Washington State basketball star Klay Thompson is celebrating a gold medal victory today in Auckland, New Zealand. He and the USA beat Greece in the championship game of the U19 World Championships, 88-80 (you can find highlights here). It's America's first junior world title since 1991.

It's a slow time in Washington State University athletics, so the blog hasn't been updated very much lately. I promise that I'll be all over this thing in the fall (actually early August when football gets going again).
