I have to make this quick because I'm getting ready to head to Pullman for WSU's selection show viewing party. Fans are invited to Bohler Gym today at two o'clock (free admission). Player introductions and "an appearance" (that's what the press release says...not sure what that means) by Tony Bennett happen at 2:30. CBS Sports' exclusive coverage of Selection Sunday starts at 3pm. Here are some ideas of what could happen to the Cougars: ESPN's Joe Lunardi has pegged the Cougs as a No.7 playing No. 10 Kentucky in the South (starting in Little Rock Arkansas). Sports Illustrated's Stewart Mandel picks Wazzu as a No.6 facing No. 11 Davidson in the East (starting in Washington D.C.). Collegehoops.net has Washington State as a No.6. They don't project who or where they'll be playing. I'll be sure to blog again to tonight with the outcome of today's selection show (and hopefully some good stories from the viewing party) and a preview of Washington State's opening round game. We'll have blowout coverage tonight on KREM 2 News at 5, 6, 10, and 11. P.S. I'm following the Cougars to the NCAA Tournament and plan on blogging everyday (maybe multiple times a day depending on what happens) about what I've seen, heard, etc. Check back here often (starting tonight) throughout the week for some in-depth WSU coverage. |
