It's becoming more clear who the Cougars have contacted about the head coaching job. Other than that, it was a fairly slow day on the coaching front. Here's the latest: The Seattle Times is reporting today that Eastern's Paul Wulff has been contacted by the Cougars and that he's very interested in the job. The article also mentions that he and Ball State's Brady Hoke (a new name to add to the mix) haven't been offered interviews. As expected, Nebraska named Bo Pelini (LSU Defensive Coordinator) as its new head coach. That leaves Buffalo's Turner Gill on the market (I sound like a broken record, but Pelini was finally hired today). DeWayne Walker (UCLA Defensive Coordinator) has also talked with the Cougs. That's according to the Los Angeles Daily News. As I've mentioned before, Walker is considered a top candidate for the UCLA job if Karl Dorrell is fired. Check back for another update... I'll also be blogging about the Inland Northwest's college basketball game of the year. The Cougars play Gonzaga Wednesday night at The Kennel. I'll be at WSU's practice this week. More on that tomorrow... |
