RANDY SHAW: Many Viewers Ticked About Fire Coverage

3:21 PM Thu, Jul 24, 2008 |

The newsroom phones rumbled and rang all morning long as viewers called in to complain about "live" coverage of the huge three-alarm Joel building blaze.

Most wanted to see their local or national program on tv and not continuous "live" coverage of a fire that brought in all 17 Spokane fire companies.

The first Valley Fire release named "Homeowner ...

Tonight all was well in the river city so I headed out to the backyard and grilled some London broil steaks. After slicing them thinly I served them drizzled with blue cheese dressing. Delicious! Also served grilled peaches with vanilla ice crea...

NADINE WOODWARD: Can't beat old friends

10:35 AM Thu, Jul 10, 2008 |

There's something to be said about familiarity when it comes to food. Just knowing that my favorite dishes at a preferred restaurant are a menu staple can be very reassuring.

Take my favorite neighborhood bistro, Twiggs, on the South Hill just down the street from the KREM-TV studios. I know I can always find my favorite appetizers, Calamari A La Romana ($9.95), Mushroom Stuffed Flatbread ($11.95) and Moroccan Beef ($12.95) on the m...
