The home opener could not have gone any better if you're a Spokane Chiefs fan, as the Chiefs rolled over the Tri-City Americans 5-2 last Saturday night.

After falling behind 1-0, Mitch Wahl got the Chiefs on the board with a nice individual effort to tie the game at 1 after the first period. Brett Bartman's slapper from the left point would put the Chiefs up 2-1 after two.

The first weekend of the season saw the Chiefs take their longest road trip of the season as they opened the year with two games in Prince George.
