Tom Sherry Recipe South of the Border Steak

This is a great bbq recipe that I got from Nadine Woodward about 12 years ago. I featured it on my BBQ Forecast August 13th. Basically this is steak with guacomole served over the top of it. What I've done a little different is I now serve it on a flour tortilla with a little cheese added. First the guacomole recipe.

3 or 4 ripe avocados
Red Pepper Flakes or cayenne pepper - dash
chopped onion (very small) 1/3 cup
garlic powder 1 tsp
chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup
canned green chiles (mild) small can
salt to taste

Nadine now adds some cilantro and lime juice.

For the meat. Use flank, sirloin or london broil.
season with Tom's BBQ Rub for Steak and Hamburger (available at Trading Company Stores. All profits go to the Northwest Autism Center).
Grill until done and then cut into thin strips or chunks.

Serve on a plate or tortilla and coat with guacomole.
