Nows the time to get everything in the ground, pot and baskets. It's really important to get your vegetable garden started quickly. Our growing season can be rather short so you need to take advantage of every warm sunny day we get. I'm really looking forward to a garden this year. We haven't put in a garden for 10 years and I really missed it. The idea of picking fresh lettuce and tomatos for a salad to go with dinner just feels good.
If you don't have room for a garden in your yard, consider container gardening. Put a tomato plant in a pot, fertilize and water and watch it go. While your at it plant some herbs in another small pot. You'll love this next time your cooking and need fresh herbs. Warm weather is upon us, lets make the most of it by spending as much time outdoors as we can. And gardening is a good way to do it.

We too are putting in a garden for the first time in nearly 10 years. Actually we planted last week. It is a great way for our family to do something together.
