Still too early to plant

We've had some really nice days and many folks are chomping at the bit to get out and plant their garden. Don't. Not yet anyway. The danger of the last frost has still not passed. It didn't end the way it was supposed to.

That was the thought that went through my mind as Gary Nunn's goal went over goalie Dustin Tokarski's shoulder and gave Vancouver a 1-0 overtime win in game 7 of the Chiefs playoff series with the Giants. It was supposed to be a year where the Chiefs made a deep playoff run in their quest to become the first team since Kamloops in '92-'93 to repeat as Memorial Cup champions.

Round 2 of the playoffs didn't start off exactly the way the Chiefs wanted to, as Vancouver took both games one and two on their home ice to jump out to a 2-0 series lead.
