The powerful flow of the river has folks flocking downtown to see the raging Spokane Falls. And there isn't a restaurant with a better view of them than Anthony's. Specializing in fresh northwest seafood.

I had tried Anthony's several years ago when it opened and have to admit, I did not have a good experience. My fish was overcooked and overpriced, but I was willing to give it another chance just so I could sit and enjoy those breathtaking falls.

This time I wasn't disappointed. I treated my mom to lunch and we both ordered the Fish Tacos. I've eaten many a fish taco on family trips to Mexico and rarely find anything that compares around here. But the Mahi Mahi variety at Anthony's was great.

Huge, grilled chunks of the rich white fish were nestled in giant, thick, chewy Sante Fe tortillas. And they were fabulous! Shredded cabbage and a mayo-salsa sauce round out the filling. Two come with each order, and they were so substantial I could only get through one of them.

At $10.95 they are a great deal.' We washed them down with a Huckleberry Lemonade.

It was a perfect lunch paired with a perfect view!

I am glad you had a fine time. I went there with my wife on Memorial Day Sunday. "ICK," was my response. There was dust at eye level that was so thick you could see it across the room. Our water glasses were chipped at the rim and the flatware looked like my youngster washed it. Needless to say I could not recommend it, but the view was wonderful. The food was nice, but I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like if the area where the paying customers sit looked like it did. Next time I'll have my to go. Have a nice day.
