Cool and dry with a high of 44 What a remarkable change from yesterday with the clearing skies....seems to me that lately ....clouds have not lingered in behind a rain event...which is fairly unusual. The next system due in late Wednesday is a warm origin system...so feezing levels will rise and it will be a rain maker for most of the region. Spokane has now passed its average first measurable date for snowfall....November 12th. I suspect we will see our first official snow of the season over the next ten days...but skiers...plan on eating turkey for Thanksgiving...most of the resorts need a two foot base to open....and while a couple of good storms produce thatt.....I have my doubts right now. Lookout pass has the best potential because strong westerly flows tend to produce more snow there than at other resorts in the absense of pronounced frontal systems. |
