Record highs over the next couple of days in Spokane are in the upper 90's...so it can still get hot around here in late August. What's interesting about this warm up is how sharp and dramatic it will be. Tuesday's high was 79...that's still below normal. Today we jump some ten degrees to the upper 80's....well above normal...and that grabs ones attention as heat waves normally builid over time.
Even hottter tomorrow before a change develops Friday...Thunderstorms look to be a bit more promising. That activity is largely gone for the holiday weekend...it will be cooler with near normal temps, around 80 in Spokane, with plenty of sunshine.
