Warm....sunny weather continues thru week's end.

Today's high in Spokane is expected at 80 once again...with just a few high clouds to block and filter some of the sunshine. This is the kind of weather we would expect to see in the Summertime...so it is special so early in the year. Long daylight hours...sunshine...and warm temperatures. The only real downside seems to be the lack of rainfall...approaching a 3 inch shortfall by this weekend... when a change in the pattern may bring a few showers...mainly Sunday. In the meantime....temperatures will remain above normal with highs in the upper 70's Thursday and Friday.

Isn't May supposed to be one of our wettest months? All those people wishing for sunny dry weather this month, need to be reminded of what replenishes our aquifer, and keeps our forests green. If we start having fires this summer, because we're short on rain, everyone will have to stay home and out of the woods because of the smoke!
