Theme week

7:56 AM Thu, Apr 19, 2007 |

The cool temperatures we've seen this week continue today.

Spokane has not seen a normal afternoon high in 5 days and this Thursday will be no different....with a high of 52 expected. Normal is now 59. At least the sun will be shining. This is our second week of below normal highs and cool lows.....and this change in the pattern has really slowed down the areas early jump into Spring. Fruit tree blossoms that we're threatening to burst in the first week of April are still in the swelling stage. The slow down is actually good because Spokane's average last frost is mid May. A couple of 60 degree days with sunny skies will probably cause an explosion of color and trees to leaf out.....that should happen early next week....but a lasting warm up may be another week of so away.
