A weather system will be slow to move out of the area today. Rain shifted north from Oregon overnight and the complex circulation with this feature will be slow to move out of the region. So it's a soggy morning in Spokane...with scattered showers into the afternoon. The heavy cloud cover will keep the sun at bay and temperatures below normal. Intensity to the morning rain varies over short distances...due to the complex circulation. The airport has already picked up over a tenth of an inch of rain since midnight. That is much needed rain...as Spokane's rain total so far this year is still over an inch below normal. |
