Stratus Que

6:24 AM Wed, Jan 31, 2007 |

Its a play on words that describes today's weather as the low cloud deck (stratus) looks to stay put again today. (status que).

I've come up short in calling for valley sunshine of late...so I'm going to go with the wise old owl today and call for persistent low clouds. Little has changed in the overall pattern. While the cloud cover forecast has been challenging of late....we're in the midst of a cold snap that is panning out....expect the weather to get even colder before its gets warmer Sunday into Monday. A system arriving tonight in the northerly flow will mainly miss our area as the contental divide steers it thru mainly Montana.
Modified arctic air will spill into our area Friday with breezy winds adn partial clearing.
