For the past two weeks, KREM 2 News has investigated complaints of poor living conditions at apartment complexes owned by Zanco Properties, based in Liberty Lake. For the most part, response from viewers has been overwhelmingly positive. However, I have heard from a few of you who think we're unfairly targeting Zanco. There's little doubt some of the apartments owned by Zanco have problems. We've documented evidence of a rodent infestation at one complex in Northeast Spokane and received pictures of moldy and dry-rotted buildings owned by Zanco in California. But are these problems unique to this particular company? It's safe to say 'no'; however, after several stories on Zanco, we've heard from only one or two viewers complaining about similar conditions at complexes owned by other property management companies. In my view, this confirms a pattern of widespread problems with Zanco, which is why we will continue to investigate every story angle possible. If you'd like to share your thoughts on our coverage of Zanco, please drop me an email at cdanielle@krem.com. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

My son moved into a townhouse in the Stoneridge Apartment complex in January. In one of the bedrooms, you can see where Zanco had patched the ceiling - approx 1/3 of the ceiling - it was very obvious there was water damage. After watching your story on the asbestos that was found, I am now very concerned about my son's townhouse. I told him about the story that ran on Friday night. He said they now have water leaking fom their ceiling and have plastic up that is bulging with water. They called the Apt complex manager on Friday and he has not returned their calls. I am concerned for his health and the health of his roommate! Should we contaqct SCAPCA?
