We Are Back. Look Out NFL.

9:55 PM Sun, Dec 31, 2006 |

Now that is what I’m talking about! We might win the whole thing! Two great games for the Seahawks means a bid for the NFC championship. Are our dreams of a return to the Superbowl alive again? It appears the heart breakers from Seattle have turned things around a bit. As many depressed Seahawks Fans were just about to give up hope and looking forward to a long ugly honey-do list to get done in the off season, suddenly the magic seems to be returning. It is slow, but yes oh yes it is returning. Get the Bratwurst soaking in beer, get the chips, the dip, and oh yeah don’t forget about Nachos. It’s time for the playoffs.

Ok I know our team is 9/7 and I know our team isn’t what they used to be, but they are starting to look a little familiar. It was like a blast from the past seeing Shaun Alexander pushing the pile running up and down the field on both the Chargers and the Bucs. Is the magic returning to Seattle? DJ Hackett and Matt Hasselbeck must be drinking the same kool-aid before the games as they appear to be completely in synch. The defense is still giving up big plays, but they are playing with emotion again. Are the Seahawks getting healthy and peaking at the right time? Oh January could be a good month fans.

Kelly Herndon went down with a broken ankle. He joins Trufant on the sidelines, so the secondary is in jeopardy. It will be key to get pressure on the quarterback throughout the playoffs. I have a good feeling though fans.

First up are the Dallas Cowboys. T.O. Romo, Oh no. Jerry Jones has sold his team to the devil by bringing in T.O. He will hurt us, our secondary is going make mistakes against Dallas. But T.O. isn’t the guy we need to worry about. Witten is the best player on the Cowboys team. He is a solid receiver, and it will be Jason Witten that could end the Seahawks season. The Cowboys are in big trouble though, they are fighting amongst themselves and they have lost that formula for winning games. HMMM seems like we have seen that here in the Pacific Northwest with our team. Well the difference is that the Seahawks have found a way to win again. The bigger difference is that the Seahawks never argued, injuries caused our problems.

I don’t want to speculate past Dallas fans, but I am excited about our chances. Let’s get those Seahawks colors flying high fans. Time to put the flags on the cars, the decals on the windows. Keep those Seahawks coats out of the closet a little longer. We’re back. Let’s have a wildcard game.

More to come fans.
