He is in NFL Hall of Fame, the Seahawks Ring of Honor and now he has been inducted in to the Professional Athlete’s Humanitarian Hall Of Fame. Steve Largent was a hero in Seattle for years while playing on the football field. This week he was honored for his contributions off the field. I saw the story about Largent on Northwest Cable News today.
These days we get to listen to the antics of guys like T.O. and even our own Jeremy Stevens. If I could I would ask those guys to take a lesson from Largent who on Thursday said, I really didn't come because I was getting an award "I came to send a message to athletes of every stripe that it's important to give back. When I look back on my career now, that's the aspect of my career that I'm probably most proud of." Steve Largent will always be one of my favorite Seahawks, and I hope my kids appreciate what he did on and off the field. You can read about Largent on NWCN.com. Oh yeah, other Seahawks News today. Seattle plans on blitzing Cutler. “Who wouldn’t have known that”. And Qwest Field is being sued for the pat down. Hey if you don’t want to have the pat down, send me your tickets, I’ll go. More to come fans. |
