Freshman Matt Bouldin's first game in a Bulldog uniform was impressive as well. Bouldin didn't miss a shot in a 12 point 6 rebound performance before he fouled out.
Next up.. Rice. The Owls come to town off a 118-66 season opening win over NAIA school Paul Quinn. The 118 points are a school record. Rice is led by Morris Almond, who flirted with the NBA in the offseason before returning to Rice for his senior year. Almond averaged 21.9 points a game last season.. and better than 25 points a game in Conference USA. The Owls finished 12 and 16 last season, but Almond didn't come back to play for a losing team. Rice is thinking NCAA tournament this year, and this should be a tough test for the Zags.
