Child porn investigation

The disturbing details that emerged late Friday morning about the Twin Lakes, Idaho man accused of child pornography led to sudden changes in our coverage plans.

The Edmund Bergeman investigation was a key topic during our morning editorial meeting. Originally, we planned only one report on Bergeman for Friday evening at 5:00.
However, just before noon, Kootenai Co. authorities released pictures of the evidence they seized from Bergeman's car. That, coupled with new allegations that Bergeman took pictures of children at schools, parks and beaches in Coeur d'Alene convinced us this was much bigger story.
The response this story generated on KREM.com proved people in the community agreed. Generally, the number of people visiting our website drops in the afternoon hours, but not Friday. As soon we posted updated information on the case, our web traffic spiked.
I felt our coverage at 5:00 and 6:00 was equally successful. Both Erik Hedlund and Ilana Gold were able to dig up details about Bergeman and the investigation other media outlets did not.

Scary thing is he used to be my step-father.... Really my mother was married to this creep but devorced him when I was only 3 or 4. They were not married for long. but it makes me think what sort-of sick things might he have done to me when my mom wasn't home I was so young I do not remember if he did or not. But I remember him.
