It's a plea agreement that seemed almost impossible to reach. Joseph Duncan's attorneys (both John Adams and Roger Peven) are adamantly against the death penalty. And Kootenai County prosecutor Bill Douglas refused to accept anything less than a chance at a death sentence for Joseph Duncan. Douglas says he was respecting the wishes of the family, most of whom think Duncan needs to die for what he did to their loved ones.
