We won't judge until we've been here for awhile.. want to keep an open mind. So far everyone has been very nice. There are several stories on tv and in the newspapers about how the city is trying to put its best foot forward this week. The only thing I will say is this..and it isn't a knock on the city itself... but a question for the NFL. When we got off the airplane today and stopped by the media help center.. the first thing we were given were pocket hand warmers.. and told "you are going to need these while you are here." When we checked in for our credentials at the media center.. our bag included more hand warmers.. and an extra pair of gloves. Nothhing against Detroit.. but it looks and feels like Spokane when we left. Cold and wet. Miami.. San Diego.. Tampa Bay..those sound like Super Bowl cities. Maybe the warmth of the people here will make up for the weather. We'll have to see as the week progresses.
