The last few weeks feel more like March or April rather than January. Valley rain has washed away all of our snow. On Thursday 1/5/06 the daytime high was 49 degrees. Crazy warm weather for this time of year. And it looks like our mild weather will continue next week with a few changes. The changes will include colder nighttime temps which will increase the possibility of late night or early morning snow. But any snow that falls should melt as daytime highs climb above freezing. I had a chance to go skiing a couple of times over the holiday weekend and I'm happy to report the conditions were good. Recent snow measurem\ents in the local mountains have conditions at about 70% of normal. So even with our springlike weather in the valleys the mountains are still white and the skiers and snowboarders are smiling.
