3 weeks of Freezing temperatures are now a distant memory as our freezing weather has been replaced by above average temps and rain or in some spots freezing rain.

It's strange to walk by City Hall now and see Dennis Hession's car. All council members have parking spots, but Hession's was always empty. He's been walking from his downtown law office to his City Council office for years. Now, Hession's in the process of transferring his law clients to different attorneys so he can focus entirely on his mayoral duties. Many say it's a job Hession has wanted.

On May 5th, the morning the Spokesman-Review printed accusations of sexual misconduct involving Mayor Jim West, a rotating group of KREM photographers and I began camping out on the couches near the Mayor's office in City Hall. West gave a brief statement, denying the allegations, but then refused to answer any questions. Over the next two days, we only caught glimpses of him.

As we count down to Christmas, most people just assumed that our snow was going to stick around because of our frigid temperatures. But this is the Inland Northwest where weather changes frequently. It appears now that big changes are going to occur over the next few days.
